About Fire Tech Camp

Fire Tech Camp is the UK's leading technology day camp focusing on children aged 9-17.Fire Tech Camp's mission is to give young people skills and enthusiasm for creating and innovating with technology. We have delivered camps, workshops and afterschool clubs to over 3000 young people since our founding. Currently we focus on holiday camps during summer and half terms, afterschool and Saturday programmes, and are looking to grow across the country and internationally.

Digital Marketing Manager Role

The Digital Marketing Manager is a newly created role reporting to the CEO . This person will be responsible for executing all acqusition and retention initiatives as the sole marketing executive in this fast paced entrepreneurial organization. They will utilize their skills of online and offline marketing to drive new customer enrolment, and to cross sell and upsell existing customers into other workshops, camps and classes.

The Digital Marketing Manager must have a combination of creative and analytical skills as they will be in charge of every aspect of delivering creative campaigns and analysing the effectiveness of these campaigns.

This digital native will have previously executed SEM,retargeting, SEO, social medial and email marketing campaigns to great effect and will pro-actively seek ways to expand the Fire Tech Camp consumer base via influencers, community outreach and PR opportunities.

What we want you to do - Establish and manage the marketing calendar with input from all relevant stakeholders.
- Creating, updating, proofreading and uploading copy and images for the organisation's website and email campaigns with Photoshop or other graphics software;
- Writing and dispatching email marketing campaigns (Mailchimp);
- Providing accurate reports and analysis to demonstrate effective return on investment, conversion rate improvement, and web site journey optimisation (Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Remarketing);
- Researching new online or offline media opportunities that may benefit the business including mobile, social media, events, street teams, development of blogs and forums;
- Communicating with clients, affiliate networks and affiliate partners;
- Conducting key word research and web statistics analysis and reporting;
- Planning and managing social media engagement and brand awareness campaigns including timings and budgets;
- Contributing to and/or proofreading company blog or other thought leadership pieces, with input from topic specialists;
- Keeping up to date with current digital trends;
- Managing the contact database and initiating lead generation activities;
- Coming up with new ideas for identifying and engaging influencers in the tech education space;
- Reaching out to press with stories to increase journalist coverage of Fire Tech Camp (PR);
- Managing direct mail campaigns - possibly with the assistance of an intern during the busiest periods;
- Taking initative in suggesting ways to reach more clients, particularly in the regions and in new market or new product areas.

Qualifications - Two or more years experience in online marketing required
- Hands on experience with scheduling and publishing campaigns with a common ESP such as Mailchimp.
- Experience having successfuly managed results driven SEM and SEO campaigns.
- A digital native proficient with Photoshop, Excel, Word, etc
- Proficient with Google Analytics and comfortable with numbers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - impeccable grammar and spelling
- Preference for operating in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability and willingness to take initiative and suggest new campaigns and analyses, and to make recommendations based on the data
- Passion for technology, innovation, and progressive education a big plus

This is a full time role and the work will take place at the Fab Lab Notting Hill (W8).
