LOCATION: Bury St Edmunds


JOB TITLE: Support Consultant


SALARY and BENEFITS: Competitive rates of pay depending on experience


WORKING HOURS: 9.00am - 5.00pm - Monday - Friday



THE COMPANY:Our client based in Bury St Edmunds specialise in designing and developing applications solely for Sage 200. They produce innovative, high quality and highly functional additions. They have been developing software applications for integration with Sage for over 15 years and are now well established as one of the leading developers in the UK and Ireland. They are now looking to recruit a Support Consultant to join their team.



THE ROLE: As a Support Consultant you will be based at our clients head office in Bury St Edmunds and will be providing first and second line telephone and remote support to business partners and customers using our clients additions integrated with Sage 200.



Full training will be provided as these packages are bespoke to our client alone.



Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to calls / emails to resolve queries / Keep customers informed of progress
- Ability to Plan and Prioritise calls
- Keep Internal Case Management system updated at all times
- Be involved in call management to ensure service level agreements are met, analysis and investigation work
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes


THE CANDIDATE: The role of Support Consultant would ideally be suited to a person who has a good business understanding and has worked in a similar role, or has good accounts experience and is looking for a career change although this is not essential as full training can be provided for the right candidate.



You will demonstrate strong IT skills and understand the importance of customer service. Good planning, organisation and time management skills will be essential for this role as will strong communication skills.



Key experience essential for the Support Consultant role:

- Strong working knowledge of all aspects of MS Office essential
- Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential
- Experience of Sage 200 would be highly advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Full UK driving licence not essential but desirable
