LOCATION: Braintree, Essex

JOB TITLE: Paraplanner

SALARY and BENEFITS: 28,000 - 32,000 per annum depending on skills and experience pension scheme and life assurance.

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

THE COMPANY: Our client, based in Braintree, is a firm of experienced Independent Financial Advisers, delivering a professional and specialised service to individuals and businesses throughout South East England. They work mainly with private clients and their investments but also work on behalf of corporate clients.

THE ROLE: Reporting to the Operations Manager the role of a Paraplanner will be to support appointed Advisor/Advisors in business writing and rebalancing recurring income clients.

Key Responsibilities of a Paraplanner to include:-
- Portfolio reviews and rebalancing
- Adhoc fund research
- Suitability reports
- Adhoc calculations
- File checking pre compliance
- 'Selectapension' research
- Technical support
- Diary management
- Assisting Operations Manager
THE CANDIDATE: Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and flexible person with a solid generalist background in Financial Services sector. Preference will be given to those candidates who have previously worked for an IFA practice. You must be able to navigate systems such as Adviser Office and use platforms and wraps. It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of writing suitability reports. You must be able to work on your own initiative without direct supervision and to manage and prioritise your own work using the Iress / Avelo diary system. You will be friendly, personable, hardworking and be able to work within a small team.

Key experience essential for the role of Paraplanner based in Braintree:
- Must live within a commutable distance of Braintree, Essex.
- Will have previous Independent Financial Service experience working a similar role as a Paraplanner.
- Must be fully conversant with Financial Express Analytics.
- Will have strong numeracy skills.
- Will be proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Must have a working knowledge of Iress / Avelo or similar.
