PA to Senior Manager - 12 month FTC

Location: Wilmslow

Salary: up to 28,000 pa benefits (28 days holiday bank holiday, pension, annual bonus)

Our client is the UK's largest mutual pensions, insurance and investment company. Group businesses provide around 9.1 million policies and employ over 3,100 people across operations in London, Bath, Edinburgh, Wilmslow, Glasgow and Reading, with Group funds under management of 100 billion.

A new opportunity has arisen in Wilmslow for a PA to join the business on a 12 month fixed term contract as the existing role holder moves to cover a more senior role until late 2017.

The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Head of HR as well as some members of the wider HR Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

Administrative and secretarial support, including:- Act as key point of contact to the Head of HR
- Organising and managing meetings (internal and external) and travel arrangements
- Ensure all relevant information and documentation is available and distributed in advance of meetings
- Ensure that actions/issues arising from meetings are addressed in accordance with agreed target dates and to liaise with owners accordingly
- Manage budgets, ensuring travel and expenses spend does not exceed budget.
- Approve and manage HR team holidays
- Deputise for the Head of HR in their absence, making decisions and delegating work to others where it is appropriate to do so
- Attend meetings and take accurate minutes and actions and circulating within agreed timescales
- Plan, organise and manage events, liaising with appropriate departments and staff members


Skills, Qualifications and Experience:- Previous PA experience at a senior level - ideally within an HR or regulated environment
- A good communicator with excellent document production, minute-taking and letter writing skills
- Efficient, self motivated and well organised
- Proactive and with a proven ability to use initiative and resolve problems
- Calm under pressure and capable of thinking in quickly changing scenarios
- Excellent planning and self management skills - ability to work in high pressure situations under tight deadlines
- Integrity - ability to prioritise and escalate when necessary in the absence of direction
- IT literate with strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and use of content management tools
- Confidentiality - effective handling of sensitive data
- Customer-focused - attitude responsive and engaging, able to build relationships across a wide range of roles and team
