Office Facilities Assistant - 3 Month Contract - Immediate Start

We are recruiting for one of the nation's largest commercial companies who provide an extensive range of construction services including construction management, general contracting, design and build and preconstruction.

The Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a proactive Facilities Assistant to join our team in Raynesway, Derby on a 3 month temporary contract. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual with previous experience of working in a similar role in a Corporate environment and will be responsible for front of house and facilities management support

Key Requirements

Reporting to the Office/Facilities Manager, the Facilities Assistants will have a wide range of duties:

Front of House
Located at the reception desk, the Facilities Assistants will be the first point of contact for external visitors and will be expected to provide First Class front of house/reception services to include the management of visitors, switchboard answering and the provision of other services/support as required.

Meeting Rooms
The Facilities Assistants must ensure that the meeting room suite is maintained to an exceptional standard at all times and will be responsible for managing the booking system, checking/clearing rooms between meetings, carrying out operational checks of equipment and ensure the kitchen areas are kept clean/tidy and that dishwashers are stocked/replenished as required. 

Access Control/Mail Room
The Facilities Assistant will be responsible carrying out mail room duties including the franking and sorting of post. Take care of covering access control and deliveries

Other Duties
Provide support to the Office/Facilities manager as required, including admin support, assisting with the management of hard and soft FM contractors, assisting with the effective maintenance of the space, assisting with production of the annual budget and ensuring up to date records are maintained for the facility.


IT literate with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of programmes
Exceptional customer services skills
Must be confident in dealing with people at all levels

Excellent organisational skills

Experience in the provision of Front of House services at a Corporate Level
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Good understanding and knowledge of Facilities Management - Desirable
First Aid/Fire Marshall qualification - Desirable
