Business Development Executive - 28k to 35K commission and package - London

Business Development is the process that results in attracting new customers and penetrating existing markets. At its core it can be defined as approaching a company to suggest that there is value in doing business with each other.


It has a consultative emphasis that conveys that you are going to be deeply involved in helping them reach their goals in conjunction with your own. It suggests more of an alliance between two companies than a vendor-customer relationship and its ultimate objective is to produce a relationship that is based more on a partnership rather than client/supplier.


In order to be successful within the discipline of Business Development an individual needs to be consistently engaging in activities that result in revenue. The activities need to be consistent and measurable, and revenue needs to be traceable to these activities. These often include, looking outside your normal sales channels/partners/customers and finding new reasons that potential customers/partners/channels can engage with you by establishing and bringing to fruition a mutual beneficial relationship.


The activities will often include activities such as cold calling, prospecting through mail shots, attending meetings arranged by telemarketing teams, attending industry events in order to network, seeking recommendations and referrals and being generally proactive in the approach for gaining new revenue streams in all service lines.

Requirements:- Business, marketing, or a technology Bachelor's degree or a proven successful track record in IT consulting industry
- Minimum of 1 years' experience, or equivalent skill set, in working for an IT Security solutions sales or Consultancy selling penetration testing, forensic investigations or similar. Candidate must demonstrate a chosen career path in sales and be able to demonstrate over achievement in previous sales roles.
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge in Information Security
- Experience of professional services sales in developing and commodity accounts, ideally some strategic accounts, with sales cycles that range from approx. three months to nine months
- Proven experience in developing account penetration and development strategies
- Proven tenacity and strategic approach to lead development including, cold calling, marketing mail shots, social media etc.
- Ability to call confidently and conduct face to face meetings with management roles such as IT Security Manager, IT Manager


Daily Duties:- Prospecting through cold calling, prospecting through mail shots, attending industry events in order to network
- Manage the full sales process from start to finish for your clients with support from the senior team
- Prepare and deliver presentations to prospects and clients
- Perform scoping on projects that are appropriate to your knowledge base
- Conduct client review meetings (quarterly, annually depending on account classification)
- Perform ongoing account management duties
- To focus on gaining developing and strategic accounts
- Responsible for developing personal business strategy to attain target
- Provide holiday support in nominated accounts
- Meet regularly with line manager to ensure all targets and KPI's are met
- Expected to meet monthly/quarterly/annual targets
- Meet all KPI's
- Represent the company at events
- Accurate internal administration
- Follow all internal processes and procedures


Location and Travel

The role is based at one of their UK offices either London or Cheltenham, but will require travel to client sites when needed.
