LOCATION: Liverpool, Merseyside

JOB TITLE: Team Leader (residential Care)

SALARY and BENEFITS: Salary to be discussed at Interview- plus enhancement for overtime, weekends, nights and sleep in payment

WORKING HOURS: 28 Hours full time

THE COMPANY: Our client is the UK's leading charity supporting disabled people. For over 65 years they have supported disabled people in many different ways.

THE ROLE: Team Leader (residential Care) Liverpool

The Orchard is a purpose built residential home in South Liverpool offering full support for 27 disabled people aged from 18 years upwards. They are especially skilled in supporting disabled people with a wide range of physical and sensory impairments.

Applicants will need the ability to work on their own and as part of a team, being able to maintain accurate records. The successful applicant will have proven experience of leading a team and be able to work flexibly and creatively with the people who use our services and their families. A willingness to undertake any required training will be expected to further your personal development in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities to include: - Team Leader (residential Care) Liverpool
- To be responsible for the day-to-day management of a shift ensuring that the care team maintains a high standard of professional care in line with all relevant policies and procedures
- To monitor, order and manage distribution of medication to service users
- To liaise, as delegated, with social workers and key workers in conducting service user reviews to ensure that identified needs and aspirations are being met and support given to the agreed standards
- To participate in supervision, staff meetings and training activities as required

Key Experience preferred for the role:- Team Leader (residential Care) Liverpool
- Previous experience in a Senior/Supervisory role from a Social Care background, with experience of management/ordering and distribution of medication is essential
- A reliable and flexible approach to work as shift work required as part of the role
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Care essential
- To have the Team Leader Award or be willing to undertake this
- Good literacy ,numeracy and IT skills
- To be willing to undertake required training
- Experience of working with disabled people is desirable
- An engaging manner with ability to build rapport with people.
- Passion, enthusiasm and a real commitment to make a difference to people lives
- A satisfactory enhanced DBC check is required for this post
