Job description

Lead Occupational Health and Wellbeing nurse- SM2 Salary 47,000- 60,000 per annumHours: Full time 37.5 hours per weekLocation: Northampton based, some travel required to the Midlands and EssexWhat you will getYou will have the opportunity to start a department from scratch. As an expert in your field, you will give advice on all areas of Occupational Health to ensure St Andrews remains compliant with legislative, regulatory and contractual requirements. You will not only be building your team, but the whole service provision which will proactively support the health and wellbeing of over 4000 employees working in a broad range of physically and mentally demanding roles across 4 UK sites. About youA proven leader, you will need to be an NMC registered Nurse with a BSc in Occupational Health or equivalent. You will also need to be driven to achieve and deliver in this high profile role. You will recruit, line manage and develop the Occupational Health team and will have previous experience of doing this.You will need a depth of Occupational Health knowledge to help you deliver services including immunisations, health surveillance, pre-employment screening and sickness absence referrals. You will also ensure that Occupational Health works in true partnership with our specialist internal Trauma support service, HR and Health and Safety departments, employee Physiotherapy provision and our EAP provider, facilitating prompt appropriate access for employees to relevant support.You will have an understanding and experience of the value of evidence-based decision making and will be able to plan initiatives and services to support employees and the Charity. Being creative with excellent organisational, communication and delivery skills are key to achieving this.
