Job description

This company is a creative and innovative designer and manufacturer of furniture for public spaces. Their unique concepts are filling a gap in the architecture and design market, they are a fast growing ambitious company and now have an opportunity for a CAD/ CAM Engineer to join the team at their North West studio, UK.

They are looking for an individual with experience in CAD/ CAM software and is highly skilled at both 2D and 3D modelling. They must have good organisation and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working alongside theirr manufacture team reporting to both the Workshop and Production Manager the role will be to provide CAD and CAM support for production of their standard and bespoke products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Bespoke 2D and 3D modelling accurate and to meet deadlines.
- Continuous Improvement on existing products and up keep of existing models up to date.
- Production drawings
- Produce CAM programmes for CNC Machines
- Provide cutting schedules and project manage CNC machine.
- Design and programme Moulds and Jigs for manufacture.

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Willingness to understand products and manufacture processes.
- Initiative and problem solving capabilities.
- Strong knowledge and experience in 2D and 3D CAD and CAM software.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel and Word.
- CNC programming and machining knowledge.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both as a team and independently.
- Good time management with the ability to work to instruction and deadline.
- Sense of pride in their work and strong attention to detail.
- Commercial Awareness.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

- Inventor BIM
- Rhino 3D
- Enroute CAM
- Photoshop and InDesign

Salary: 20,000 - 25,000 per annum
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
