LOCATION: Rochester, Kent

JOB TITLE: Desk Sales

SALARY and BENEFITS: 17,500, company pension, holiday and childcare vouchers

WORKING HOURS: Full Time, 9am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday

They are a FTSE 100 company which successfully operates in 26 countries throughout the world and are always on the lookout for exceptional sales talent to join their already successful teams across the UK.

THE ROLE: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Desk Sales candidate to join their focused sales team in Rochester. Within the role, you will take ownership of a designated geographical territory and support your Field Sales Manager in managing / developing existing accounts and generating new business opportunities.

On occasions, you will also be required to help out on their trade counter; assisting customers with purchase decisions and resolving queries on orders, products and returns quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities to include:-

- Supporting your designated Field Sales Manager

- Managing and developing existing accounts

- Generating new business opportunities

- Reviewing reports and dealing with queries arising.

- Work as part of a team to produce a vibrant sales environment

THE CANDIDATE: You will have the ability to engage effectively with clients and provide them with an excellent service. Experience within a similar sector is beneficial however if the candidate is extremely driven and enthusiastic then this is preferred and full training on the products will be given.

You will need to have previous experience within similar Sales / Account Management role. Candidates must be confident with dealing with new and existing customers calmly and effectively and be capable of managing workload in this fast paced environment.

Key experience essential for the role:

- Experience in a similar Sales / Account Management role

- Numerate and IT literate

- Excellent communication skills

- A professional telephone manner

- Driven and enthusiastic

- UK driving licence

- Experience / knowledge of the industry (desirable)
