Job title: Business Development Manager

Salary: 40 - 50k OTE

Location: South West England and Wales

Working hours: Full time, permanent.

Our client manufactures an exciting range of systems for the construction, automotive, acoustic and audio markets, exporting to numerous countries around the world. They are a leading manufacturer of engineered facade and roofing systems to the architectural sector, complemented by a comprehensive range of fasteners, load bearing components and accessories. They have full in-house testing facilities, as well as 3D design and engineering analysis and also produce a broad range of expanded mesh and perforated components for the automotive, architectural and audio markets, specialising in visual imaging on facades as well as aesthetic diffusion and absorption solutions.

As a Business Development Manager you will be predominantly identifying and developing sales opportunities working closely with architects, PQS practices and the Main Contract supply chain within the building envelope market.

Key duties as Business Development Manager to include:
- Maintain the company CRM database, to provide the business with an accurate understanding of the potential forward order book.
- Provide regular reporting of market activity.
- Working closely with the Estimating Team and be responsible for the management of all commercial enquiries received for pricing by the sub contract chain.
- Work closely with the Designers, Estimators and Technical Manager to develop project specifications for all the Company's systems offerings.
- Generate and present CPD presentations.
- Facilitate and deliver project pre-contract hand over meetings as required to the Operations team.
- Work with the Credit Control team to ensure credit exposure and sales are managed within agreed credit terms.
- Identify target accounts and support line management to develop annual territory sales plans to achieve agreed revenue growth levels for the area responsible.
- Support line management to develop and maintain Sales, Commercial KPI's relating to lead chasing, opportunity to live job conversion (won lost orders criteria) and sales to AV% margins.

Key essentials:
- Good technical understanding of through the wall/roof construction preferable
- Have good grounding selling into Architects and Main contractors.
- Previous sales experience essential
- Excellent presentation and people skills
- Full and clean UK driving licence
- Good understanding of metal fabrication and finishing /rain screen construction
- Previous experience with CRM systems and IT literate
- Work well on your own and as part of a team.
- A good ability to work at a fast pace in a highly pressured environment
- Needs to be confident, self-driven, motivated and used to working to targets
- Welsh speaking highly advantageous
