Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Telemarketing/Telesales Executive to join a well-established company based in Coventry.

Essential skills/experience required for a Telesales/Telemarketing Executive

- Demonstrable success in telesales, telemarketing or tele-research roles including setting appointments for field sales colleagues

- Experienced in calling at director level in enterprise class organisations

- Effective in exposing prospects' key business drivers and matching these to company capabilities

- Have sufficient analytical experience to complete research that identifies relevant information on prospective customers

- Commercially minded with experience of working to achieve targets

- Experience of working with contact databases (CRM systems) desirable

- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable Skills required for a Telesales Executive/Telemarketing Executive;

- Two years prior sales or telemarketing experience preferred
- Experience of implementing changes in the telemarketing process


Excellent oral communication skills and superb listening skills
Professional phone manner with a consultative approach and tone of voice
Highly organised and self motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks
Confident in overcoming rejection and setting challenging goals on a daily basis
Must be able to work accurately, under pressure, to meet strict deadlines

Job role for a Telemarketing Executive;

Research and Contact prospective leads, qualify leads and arrange suitable appointments for the Business Development Managers
Call and maintain relationships with customer database
Contact data will come from our in house customer relationship management system, supplemented by external lists, but the successful candidate will also be expected to source their own leads. The Telemarketer will also research prospective companies to obtain contact details and basic operating information.
The candidate will support marketing in campains and activities to aid lead generation

Responsibilities for a Telesales Agent:
Qualify leads in line with target requirement
Generate and book in excess of 15 suitable appointments per month for Business Development Managers
Establish new relationships by researching, adding and developing new leads.
Maintain existing Lead relationships, in particular, those which are not actively visited by field sales personnel
Collate information on prospective leads, where an appointment is not obtained
Actively manage the lead database to ensure information is accurate and kept up to date for marketing activities.
Identify past prospects due for follow up calls
Log all calls and monitor success rates
Produce regular reports on activity levels
Follow-up specific marketing campaigns
Work with field sales to support them in achieving objectives
Present the company in an accurate and positive manner on the phone
Send out company information to potential leads when necessary
