You'll work with an elite team as an Account Executive to promote health care sales and market products through a defined list of agents and brokers. You'll help write the history of UnitedHealth Group when you focus on the small business market segment (1-300 employees) to help employees improve their health care. You will use independent judgment and be empowered to recommend products to customers. Your strong relationships with customers, brokers and consultants and strong product knowledge and advice will grow sales and help heal the health care system. Primary Responsibilities: * Identify potential health care business customers * Develop business relationships with agents and / or brokers in order to increase sales * Independently decides which brokers to focus on and which products to recommend * Promote sales of health care products to small business (2-50 employees) customers, through brokers * This includes educating and keeping brokers up to date on products and pricing; evaluating and discussing with brokers, developing recommendations on which products to market against competing products * Attains regional and health plan goals related to specific targets Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience * 4 years of related industry experience with knowledge of group benefits and the marketplace * Demonstrated strong proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as health care insurance administration systems (i.e. FACETS) * Demonstrated exceptional presentation and communication skills * Ability to function as exceptional performer within start-up business that is fluid and rapidly changing * Proven performance in developing and fostering productive business / client * Proficient problem solving approach to quickly assess current state and formulate recommendation * Flexibility to customize approach to meet all multiple types of communication styles and personalities Preferred Qualifications: * Driven by compassion, empathy and an ability to care about and connect deeply with others * Ability to put members needs at the center of business processes and decisions * Finds success through service to others * Design-led thinking and ability to build from the ground up * Creative problem solving skills * "Get stuff done" attitude (Not afraid of failure, wiling to grow and learn from experience) * Tenacious energy with a desire to constantly reinvent yourself, your role, the healthcare world * Belief that how we treat each other is an important as what we achieve * Fierce integrity * Eager to try new things and divert from the plan when it makes sense (Flexible and nimble) Careers at UnitedHealthcare Employer and Individual.
