Job description

Salary: $140,000 - $180,000

Key Responsibilities- Sales enablement leveraging systems/tools, work closely with the field to help craft and execute named-account penetration strategies at the C-level. You will support sales throughout a highly complex buying process with custom persona-based content including personalized messaging, collateral, RFI/RFP responses,
- Product launch support and/or drive product launches and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
- Market intelligence be an expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on any emerging competition and how to crush them
- General support key marketing relationships with analysts, media, industry thought leaders, company advisory board members, customer champions, etc. as a virtual executive.

Product Marketing Manager/Director

As a product marketing leader, you will have broad ownership of go-to-market strategies and tactics for the Mercatus Energy Investment Lifecycle Management (ILM) product line. This includes core collateral and sales tool development, account-based campaign conception and execution, and innovative C-suite focused marketing programs that drive customer engagement and conversion. You will be the SVP of Marketing's right-hand person, consulting, influencing and/or driving all aspects of marketing including product launches, PR, Analyst Relations, media and event relationships. In addition, you will be a key link to the field, collaborating on account-based playbook development and execution and supporting the sales team throughout a very complex buying process involving many stakeholder personas.


It is very important to understand that success in this role depends on the ability to execute in a C-level account-based scenario. This is not a traditional inbound marketing role focused on capturing, scoring, and qualifying leads/MQLs using traditional digital (organic/SEO) techniques and lead capture vehicles. We are fishing with a harpoon, not a net. In other words, we know who the majority of our prospects are. We need to engage accounts directly, accelerate sales cycle velocity, convert at a very high rate, and maximize deal size.


The ideal candidate will have:- 10 years of software product marketing experience
- Account-based marketing skills and experience understanding and supporting large/complex true enterprise-wide multi-year deals.
- Extensive experience and exposure to C-level/persona marketing strategies and tactics
- Energy industry domain expertise and good financials acumen
- Very strong written communication skills
- High-level of comfort leveraging marketing automation tools and exercising advanced functionality (specifically Salesforce, Pardot, Engagio stack)
- Flexibility/ability to thrive in a high-expectation, fluid, fast-paced, cloud technology start-up environment
- Exposure, understanding and/or experience with CEB marketing best practices and insights
- MBA (preferred)
